A Bit About Me
Hello, my name is Afeezat Toyosi!
It was in my late 20’s that I decided to follow my interest in the
human experience and the challenges faced in those experiences.
-
Low self esteem,
-
abuse,
-
anger management,
-
bereavement,
-
Relationships,
-
depression,
-
trauma ….and so much more.
I wanted to know what it would look like to be part of the healing process, the journey and the self discovery. I have since been privileged to be a part of the transformation that psychotherapy and counselling has had in the lives of many.
I am a qualified Psychodynamic Psychotherapist and also work with modalities of training that I have accumulated over the years.
I offer once weekly, 50 min sessions in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

My Experience:
My experience collaborates Private practice aswell as my work as Lead Counsellor for a charity.
Private practitioner/ Lead Counsellor
In my private practice I offer that space to others, whether you come with truama, issues around relationships, self esteem, anxiety or any other elements in your life that stirs feelings that are a struggle to cope with.
Aswell as working in private practice, I am lead therapist for a charity that supports women in a holistic way providing therapy, housing and support. Within this charity we hold true to the values of relationship, unconditional love, nurture and collaboration and I carry these values with me wherever I go.
My experience with a trauma informed approach utilises the need for grounding and stabilisation when feelings can become too overwhelming. The invitation to a warm. Non judgemental space to process feelings and memories and ultimately a journey of reintegration - building on your connections with others and the world around you.
These components not only underpin techniques of working with trauma but collaborate with other therapeutic techniques to work with anxiety, depression, grieving/loss, isolation and relationships with others and your sense of self.
I offer a space for your life experiences and difficulties to be explored and for things to be understood/processed in a way they may not have been before.
Emphasis is on safety, choice and empowerment to support healing and resilience.
