The Journey

Counselling and Psychotherapy can often feel like a journey - a journey you take and I walk alongside you on

The begining

Starting counselling can feel like a big step—it often takes courage to reach out. But you're not expected to have all the answers. This journey is about showing up as you are and being met with compassion, not judgment. Together, we gently explore the thoughts, feelings, and experiences that have shaped your life. Along the way, you may begin to see things more clearly, make sense of the past, and find new ways of coping and connecting. It’s about creating space for healing, growth, and rediscovery of your own strength.

The middle

As the relationship deepens, so does the work. This part of the journey can be both challenging and empowering. Together, we begin to unpack patterns, beliefs, and emotions that may have been carried for years. It’s a time of discovery—of making connections between past and present, noticing shifts in how you think and feel, and learning new ways to respond to life’s challenges. There may be ups and downs, moments of clarity, and moments of struggle—but through it all, you are not alone. Change begins to feel possible here.

The end

Ending counselling can stir up a range of feelings. It marks a turning point, not a finish line. This stage see's a revisiting of your journey -  insight, tools, and a stronger connection to yourself. The work you’ve done doesn’t disappear; it stays with you, woven into your daily life in lasting ways. We take time to reflect on the progress you’ve made and prepare for the road ahead, knowing that you carry within you the strength, awareness, and resilience to continue your journey.
